Twenty six weeks old

Owen will be twenty seven weeks old tomorrow! He turned 6 months old last Wednesday!

 Can you believe that? Here is a look at what happened at 26 weeks old!

Owen had his 6 month well-baby check up this week. He weighed in at 17 lb, 9 oz and measured 27 in long! He had to get 3 shots this time...those are never fun for Owen (or for Mommy). But after 5 seconds of crying, he was over it (thank goodness!) The doctor said everything (weight, height, development) looks good! He will be 9 months old at his next appointment!

These days Owen is very busy. He rolls all around the living room and babbles loudly! Per the doctor's recommendation, we are trying to get onto a 3-meal-a-day baby food (plus bottles, of course) schedule and are trying to incorporate the sippy cup into his daily routine. He still thinks it's a chew toy! He can sit up on his own in a tripod position for 2-3 seconds before falling over. It was so great to see him roll over the first time, so I can't even imagine how we'll feel when he's really sitting up on his own (and crawling....then walking...yikes!!) We're looking forward to St. Patty's Day this weekend! Grammy and Grandpaw Dawg will be coming over for a traditional Irish Meal-corned beef, cabbage, and potatoes. And Owen, as you may have guessed, will be sporting a very cute St. Patty's Day outfit!
